The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed about the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often a sassa status result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider place established for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
